Simei, the leading international trade fair for oenology and bottling machinery organized by the Unione Italiana Vini (UIV), crosses the finish line of 30 editions. From November 12 to 15, the biennial event will celebrate its 60th anniversary at Fiera Milano (Rho, Halls 1, 2, 3, 4). On display will be the best technologies used in the wine and beverage supply chain, from the vineyard to the cellar and from bottling to labeling to the glass, for an event that aims to meet the tastes of new consumers through technological and product innovation.

With a transversal insight into innovations and processes in oenology, liquid food, oil, beer and spirits, Simei 2024 will be even more diverse in terms of both program and product offering. In addition to the partnership with Distillo (a trade fair for the equipment of micro-distilleries, which will hold its third edition directly at the fair), Simei will also host the first edition of BeerForum, the 'general assembly' of the beer industry in Italy. Organized by Luca Grandi of Birra Nostra, a company founded in 2007 to promote quality artisanal beer in Italy, BeerForum aims to offer the opportunity to learn more about the state and evolution of the Italian beer sector through meetings, conferences, masterclasses and tastings during the four days of the event. There will also be news in the olive oil sector with "L'Oleoteca di Olio Officina", a space curated by the Observatory of the Olive Oil Panorama under the direction of Luigi Caricato, which will present an exhibition at Simei on the ultimate benchmark of olive oil design and packaging, as well as a series of meetings on the subject from an ecological point of view.

Last but not least, there is the now traditional Innovation Challenge, the competition that recognizes the sector's technological innovations with the 'Technology Innovation Award', 'New Technology' and 'Green Innovation Award'.

With 480 exhibitors, 25,500 square meters of exhibition space and more than 30,000 registered visitors at the 2022 event, including 450 foreign delegates, the fair is increasingly becoming a reference event for a highly technical and international sector that is crucial for the Made in Italy industry and generates more than 3 billion euros in added value - a moment of analysis and comparison on the state of the art and strategies of the segment.
