American brewers love Gaffel Kölsch
News General news
Kölsch is one of the most widely drunk beers in the USA and is much appreciated on the other side of the Atlantic. Among the top-fermented beers from Cologne, Gaffel is the favourite among beer experts.
Corey Blodgett, brewmaster at Gathering Place Brewing in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin is enthusiastic. "Gaffel is the best Kölsch for me. That's because it has a nice floral hop aroma and is very refreshing. Drinking Gaffel is a lot of fun."
The article, entitled "The best German beers according to industry professionals", was published in Wine Enthusiast magazine's renowned winemag.com portal. In addition to Gaffel, there were also honourable mentions for other German beers such as the Pilsner Tannenzäpfle or the Weizenbock Korbinian from Weihenstephan.
The Wine Enthusiast from New York was founded in 1979 and offers information on wine as well as many publications on beer and spirits.
In addition to the USA, it also supplies Canada, Asia, many European countries and the most popular holiday destinations. The brand has thus become synonymous with Kölsch. Gaffel relies on the specialised trade and works closely with exclusive partners in the respective countries. Initiatives by individual restaurateurs abroad are also supported and accompanied.
