All profits from sales of Ukraine's most popular beer brand earmarked for humanitarian relief efforts
Chernigivske is Ukraine's most popular beer brand. Anheuser-Busch InBev will launch it at retail in Germany. So far, AB InBev has already launched Chernigivske in the UK. All profits from this initiative will be distributed to selected non-governmental organizations, including Caritas International, to support humanitarian relief efforts for Ukraine. AB InBev guarantees a minimum donation of $5 million (approximately €4.5 million) from this initiative.
The initiative is led by Anna Rudenko, marketing director of Chernigivske, from Belgium. That's where she fled Ukraine last month with some of her family. "I'm proud that we can introduce Chernigivske in Germany to support humanitarian aid to Ukraine," Anna Rudenko says, adding, "As brewers, we can use our daily interaction with consumers and give them the opportunity to support humanitarian aid efforts by bringing this beer to market." Distributors and retail partners interested in participating in the initiative, or consumers who want to learn more, can get more information through the website www.chernigivske.ua.
