Seal of quality for family-friendliness: Berentzen Group receives renewed certification for Minden site

The Berentzen Group location in Minden has been certified for the second time with the seal of approval for family friendliness by the Work and Family Competence Center OstWestfalenLippe. This makes the corporate group one of 40 companies in the Minden-Lübbecke district to receive the award.
"We are very pleased to receive this renewed award for our Minden site," explains Ralf Brühöfner, Executive Board member of Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft, and continues: "This shows that we take the responsibility that comes with the seal very seriously. We are not only focusing on existing projects that already support the family-friendliness of our company, but are also planning further and new measures in this area at the same time."
The current seal honors the implementation of a wide variety of measures in the Berentzen Group. Particular emphasis was placed on the flexibilization of working hours and location. In the past two years in particular, the Berentzen Group has offered flexible models of mobile working and also established them on a permanent basis. Another component of family friendliness are support services for employees, such as a social counseling service provided by Caritas.
The Berentzen Group's award was accepted by Ute Verholen, responsible for Human Resources in the corporate group, at the Prussia Museum in Minden. District Administrator Anna Katharina Bölling (Minden-Lübbecke District) and Eva Leschinski (Kompetenzzentrum Frau und Beruf, OstWestfalenLippe GmbH) presented the certificate at the ceremony. The seal of approval for family friendliness as well as the corresponding selection process is organized by the Competence Center Work and Family OstWestfalenLippe in cooperation with the district of Minden-Lübbecke.
"We are certain that only companies that integrate the issue of family friendliness into their everyday work and continue to drive it forward will also be economically successful in the future. Employee satisfaction is the basis of such success. An important factor here is the aforementioned compatibility of family and career, as the award makes clear," explains Verholen.
