Joint beer "Dry Hop'd Zwickl" now available
Bitburger is launching a new collaboration beer, Dry Hop'd Zwickl. Born from the collaboration with U.S. brewers Deschutes, the triple-hopped, naturally cloudy Zwickl beer impresses with its fruity, hoppy taste at 4.9 percent alcohol. Symbolic of the intercontinental brewing friendship, the Zwickl is brewed as a classic German beer style with the American aroma hop varieties Citra and Mosaic from the Yakima growing region in the USA, as well as Bitburger sealed hops.
"We share a lot of values with Deschutes, and we also have a similar philosophy - which is why the collaboration has worked so well," says master brewer Dr. Stefan Meyna. "Like us, Deschutes makes a point of using only the highest quality raw materials and investing extra time and care in brewing their beers."
Dry Hop'd Zwickl is the second collaboration beer with a U.S. brewery. The collaboration came about in 2019 as part of the "Bitburger Challenge" in the U.S., which was about brewing a particularly good "German Pilsner." Deschutes came out on top here, winning the cooperation with Bitburger. The limited-edition beer speciality in a 0.33-liter can is available in selected restaurants and online stores, as well as in Bitburger's own online store.
