Available from July 2021: BORCO launches FINSBURY Blood Orange 20%, a light gin-based aperitif
News General news
After the successful launch of FINSBURY Wild Strawberry in the summer of 2020, the Hamburg-based spirits house BORCO-MARKEN-IMPORT is launching another taste experience with the new FINSBURY Blood Orange, which continues the success story of one of the oldest gin brands in the world. The aperitif with the fruity-light taste of Mediterranean blood oranges and 20% vol. will be available in stores from 01 July 2021 for an RRP of 10.99 euros (0.7l).
"With the reduced alcohol content and the fruity taste of blood oranges, we are responding to consumers' desire for alternatives to high-proof spirits and new taste experiences. At the same time, with this innovation we are opening up new consumption occasions and giving new impetus to the aperitif culture under the umbrella of the strong number three in the German gin market," comments Markus Kohrs-Lichte, BORCO CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, on the expansion of the FINSBURY brand family.
Based on the globally established recipe of FINSBURY London Dry Gin, this spirit refreshes with the Mediterranean aroma of sun-drenched blood oranges, which is integrated into the complex play of aromas of the typical botanicals of a classic gin. The elaborate production is based on the over 250-year-old gin craft of the FINSBURY distillery.
FINSBURY Blood Orange 20% shows itself as the perfect companion on warm summer evenings that we wish would never end. Whether as a long drink with tonic, or soda water, pure on ice as an aperitivo or with Prosecco, the fruity-sweet aroma of the blood orange quenches the longing for vacations on the Mediterranean. The colorful label with retro charm and specially created typography underscores the world of enjoyment of FINSBURY Blood Orange 20% with attention to detail and complements the radiant orange nuances. The eye-catching appearance with a Mediterranean feeling is harmoniously rounded off by the impression of a shimmering water surface of a pool on the bottle neck.
