Strengthening the premium portfolio: BORCO brings the legendary single malt Scotch whisky ROSEBANK to Germany as of August 2021
News General news
It is one of the most sought-after Scotch whiskies and will now soon be available in Germany. The legendary Rosebank Lowland whisky will be distributed from August 2021 by the Hanseatic family business BORCO-MARKEN-IMPORT, which is sharpening its whisky and premium portfolio with the distribution takeover.
The novelty in the portfolio of the Hamburg comes from the whiskey house Ian Macleod, which is one of the largest independent whiskey producers in Scotland and with which BORCO has been working successfully for years, including for the brand Glengoyne. With the distribution of Rosebank and other limited bottlings in the coming years, BORCO continues the traditional heritage of the legendary Lowland whisky with a moving history.
Markus Kohrs-Lichte, BORCO CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, is particularly pleased about the new addition: "BORCO and Ian Macleod have enjoyed a trusting partnership for many years, which we are now further consolidating and expanding with the distribution of Rosebank. For our premium spirits and our range of whiskies from all over the world, this will result in wonderful synergies with a lot of potential for our trade partners, customers and consumers. We are proud of the trust placed in us and the opportunity to accompany and shape the resurgence of this legendary whiskey on the German market."
The debut of the Rosebank bottlings is the 30 Year Old, which will be available in a strictly limited edition for an RRP of 1,899 euros (0.7l). The focus is on the distribution channels of specialist retailers and whiskey stores.
