CHANTRÉ, Germany's most successful brandy, is presenting another design relaunch for spring. The new look of CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge impresses with a sophisticated shade of red paired with golden and matt black elements. As part of the realigned communication, consumers experience an inspiring customer journey that focuses on the variety of uses. The relaunch is supported by various communication and activation measures.

CHANTRÉ is bringing its range into the here and now: following the relaunch of the core product CHANTRÉ Weinbrand and the new product launch of CHANTRÉ Crème last year, the relaunch of CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge will now follow in April. The CHANTRÉ variant distilled from 100% red wine at 30% vol. has been given a more than successful visual makeover that pays tribute to its namesake color. The previous no-label label has been replaced by a high-quality and attractive paper label. It comes in a warm, elegant shade of red with gold applications on the edge of the curved label and makes the bottle stand out from afar. The brand and product names are also in high-quality gold.
The bottle neck and the cap in matt black form an eye-catching contrast to the warm red tone of the label - and perfectly match the look of the CHANTRÉ brandy. “The CHANTRÉ umbrella brand now impresses with a consistently high-quality and contemporary design for the three products CHANTRÉ Weinbrand, CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge and CHANTRÉ Crème, each of which has its own visual independence and yet is clearly recognizable as part of the CHANTRÉ range,” says Patricia Emde, Head of Spirits Marketing at Nordbrand Nordhausen. “Thanks to its special red coloring, CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge stands out both on the shelf and in secondary placement and has a high recognition value due to its visual proximity to the lead product brandy.” The high product quality and the aromatic, fruity liquid remain unchanged, as does the typically smooth CHANTRÉ taste.
Smooth and versatile - and indispensable for aperitifs and long drinks
As part of the communication around the specialty spirit, consumers are invited to take part in a customer journey. In addition to the relaunch, the focus here is clearly on the variety of uses. “CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge is the ideal spirit for aromatic long drinks and sparkling aperitif recipes”. This sentence not only appears on the front label, but also runs like a red thread through all communication measures.
With the start of delivery, an eight-page neckhanger adorns every CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge bottle that is delivered in the new look and encourages consumers to try out new, fresh and tangy recipe ideas at home. The sampling of several 100,000 Cuvée Rouge small bottles as an on-pack at the CHANTRÉ brandy as well as eye-catching mixed displays in participating retailers also skillfully showcase the versatility of CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge at the POS.
Outside the POS, selected “liquid on lips” measures also ensure that CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge is presented to a target group with an affinity for aperitifs and indulgence, for example in cookery schools and fashion boutiques. Sampling boxes with small bottles ensure numerous tasting contacts, as do various campaigns on social media, which also focus on the versatile mixability of this specialty spirit. CHANTRÉ Cuvée Rouge fits perfectly with the current aperitif trend and underlines this with numerous recipe ideas, such as its signature drink “Rouge Royal”, which perfectly accompanies moments of enjoyment for two or with friends as a sparkling, aromatic drink.
Unifying moments of pleasure
CHANTRÉ accompanies enjoyable time-outs that give people joie de vivre and shared moments. And this has been the case since 1953, when Ludwig Eckes composed the timeless classic and named it after the family name of his wife Marianne, a native of Chantré. Even after more than 70 years, CHANTRÉ stands today more than ever for an unmistakably smooth taste and unifying moments of pleasure.
