Coca-Cola puts returnable PET line in Bad Neuenahr back into operation
News General news
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Germany (CCEP DE) plans to invest €15m in the re-commissioning of a returnable PET line at its Bad Neuenahr site.
The filling line will have a capacity of 36,000 bottles per hour and will go into operation in autumn 2024. According to the company, the background to this is the constantly high demand for Coca-Cola beverages in returnable 1-litre containers. The existing production capacities for returnable PET bottles at nine of the 14 regional locations in Germany are heavily utilised. With the additional line, seasonal peaks in demand as well as maintenance and servicing work on the other twelve refillable PET lines in the German production network are to be better cushioned in future.
Until the beginning of 2021, mineral water of the Apollinaris brand was bottled on the line in Bad Neuenahr.
