PITÚ expands the Caipi RTD range
With the new Premix in the 330ml can, PITÚ is going all out for fruit and is now expanding its RTD range in time for the seasonal planning. This means that three consumer needs are covered by Germany's Caipi expert and market leader: the classic Caipi easy-to-go, a (new) fruity variant and an alcohol-free variant (Ipanema).
With the choice of passion fruit (maracuja), PITÚ is following a worldwide trend, as the exotic fruit is one of the TOP "flavours to watch" in the alcoholic beverage segment worldwide, according to Mintel. Market research studies show that RTD users want more variety, and buy more regularly, with the share of weekly purchases increasing from under 30% to over 40% in a two-year comparison.
According to analyses by the market research institute AC Nielsen, RTDs without cola are booming. The current growth rate in food retailing including cash & carry and petrol stations is +31.6% volume growth in the Moving Annual Total (MAT).
