Edition 12 beer: Ulmer Münster Doppelbock
News General news
The recipe for the “Ulmer Münster Doppelbock” comprises five of the finest brewing malts and three different types of Tettnang aroma hops. The result is a doppelbock with a strong body and pleasant caramel and vanilla notes, with a hint of smoky aroma.
Visually, the mahogany-colored strong beer specialty impresses with a fine-pored, creamy head. In addition to the soft first taste, the master beer, which was matured in oak barrels for refinement and stored for four weeks in the vaulted cellar of Ulm Minster, impresses with its malty, aromatic sweetness.
A special tip from the master brewers: Doppelbock with an alcohol content of 7.5% by volume is ideal for beer spiking. In this old tradition, in which a red-hot iron rod is dipped into the filled glass for a few seconds, the malt sugar caramelizes, giving the beer a remarkable aroma.
The limited edition beer No. 12 harmonizes perfectly with mature hard cheeses, nutty desserts and bitter chocolates.
