According to a statement from the French “Autorité de la concurrence”, investigators have carried out unannounced searches at the premises of glass packaging manufacturers. The companies are suspected of having used anti-competitive practices in the manufacture and marketing of container glass, according to the antitrust authority, which is responding to previous press reports with its announcement.
One of the manufacturers concerned has already spoken out and announced that it will cooperate fully with the French competition authority.
