Frank Sinatra (1915-1998), the famous singer of hits like "My Way" or "Bad bad Leroy Brown", was buried at his own request with a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, a pack of cigarettes, a lighter and some 10-cent coins (dimes). He intended to use the latter in case he needed to use a public telephone.
Jack Daniels was Frank Sinatra's favorite brand of whiskey - he also called it the "nectar of the gods." The whiskey producer even released the "Sinatra Select" edition in Sinatra's honor.
