Gin novelty for the German market: Norden Sea Salt Gin launched under the brand Doornkaat

The Berentzen Group is launching the new Norden Sea Salt Gin on the German market under its Doornkaat brand. The spirit in a modern design is available immediately.

"Norden Sea Salt Gin is a real speciality on the gin shelf: selected North Sea botanicals create an extraordinary and intense taste experience. Juniper provides the spiciness, while sea buckthorn and rosehip create a fruity astringency. The gin is rounded off by a fine pinch of sea salt," explains Katja Schlarmann, Head of Marketing Brand Spirits at the Berentzen Group. In this way, the spirit brings the naturalness and authenticity of the North Sea coast to the whole of Germany.

"Gin continues to be considered a trendy spirit and is currently the second largest segment within clear spirits. The category has experienced strong growth in recent years. We are building on this development with our new product," Schlarmann continues.

Norden Sea Salt Gin can be enjoyed neat, on ice or mixed as a long drink or cocktail. The new product appeals to a core target group between 30 and 50 years of age.

"With the Sea Salt Gin, we are driving forward the premiumisation of our broad spirits portfolio and at the same time have created a product that promises specialness," concludes Schlarmann. Norden Sea Salt Gin is available immediately. The recommended retail price is 18.99 euros per 0.7l bottle. The gin is delivered in a 6-bottle carton or in a 24-bottle display.
