Grünbeck has reached the next milestone in the expansion of its main site in Höchstädt. After around seven months of construction, the water treatment specialist celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its new logistics centre.

What began with civil engineering work at the end of September 2021 is now an approximately ten-metre-high, enclosed shell building on a floor area of 5,500 square metres that will give Grünbeck plenty of space for further growth. It is scheduled for completion in December 2022 and will be used for a variety of purposes from the beginning of 2023 - for incoming goods logistics, quality assurance, as an automated small parts warehouse and for office and social rooms. Grünbeck is investing around fifteen million euros in this project.

As the building owner, Grünbeck Managing Director Dr Günter Stoll was pleased on the occasion of the topping-out ceremony "that the work is right on schedule". For this success, he thanked all those involved, the planning companies degen & partner, i.CG, Gaiser, Strehle as well as the other companies involved and, last but not least, the reliable craftsmen.

Compared to the old logistics area, the new building will considerably simplify processes and improve efficiency. It also provides additional space, which is required by Grünbeck's growing business volume. The construction of the logistics centre is the first stage of a long-term planned site expansion. Grünbeck intends to invest over 100 million euros in Höchstädt in the next few years, step by step and in line with demand, in order to secure existing jobs and create new ones.
