Jamaica: Heineken introducing Heineken Silver in Jamaica
News General news
Beer maker Heineken is introducing the latest addition to its line-up of products in Jamaica, Heineken Silver, the Jamaica Observer reported on September 21.
Dubbed a captivating twist on the classic beer, Heineken Silver will be available throughout Jamaica starting this month, the company said in a press release.
According to the release, Heineken Silver is a unique beer that stands out because of its unique brewing process. Unlike most beers, it is brewed at an ice-cold temperature of -1°C, which gives it a smooth and balanced taste, the company said, adding that the lagering process also helps retain Heineken's signature fruity aroma that is less bitter.
Heineken Brand Manager Amoye Phillpotts-Brown commented on the brand’s newest innovation.
"Heineken is intentional in creating meaningful connections. In the spirit of this, we wanted to create a more accessible taste profile where quality meets innovation. We wanted a beer that would be more inclusive and interesting to young adult consumers, and Heineken Silver is the outcome. This new brew brings a subtle twist on Heineken Original, providing a smoother taste while maintaining its premium status," Phillpotts-Brown said.
Phillpotts-Brown said Heineken has perfected its craft at its 5-Star brewery, where its beer is fermented in horizontal tanks, creating the perfect pressure for A-Yeast instead of the commonly used vertical tanks. The brand manager noted that Heineken Silver is carefully curated through this process/
"The Jamaican beer market is dynamic and vibrant, and we are thrilled to introduce Heineken Silver as a variant. This beer is set to be the hallmark of cosmopolitan taste as it breaks free from stereotyped flavours and brings people together, regardless of their background or gender. We are excited to see how consumers will embrace the refreshing and innovative experience that Heineken Silver brings," Phillpotts-Brown added.
