Malaysia: Heineken Malaysia appoints new MD

Heineken Malaysia Bhd has appointed Martijn Rene Van Keulen as its new MD effective from July 1, 2024, The Malaysian Reserve reported.
According to its bourse filing on July 1, Van Keulen, aged 48 and originally from the Netherlands, will succeed Roland Bala, aged 58, who is resigning to assume the role of managing director at Multi Bintang Indonesia starting July 1.
Van Keulen brings extensive experience from Heineken International, having joined in 2000 and served in various commercial roles.
His tenure includes a notable stint as global account manager for Heineken Global Duty Free and Travel Retail, where he spent four years.
From July 2020 to June 2024, Van Keulen served as managing director of Heineken Myanmar, where he led his team through a transformative period, achieving strong performance despite significant operational challenges faced by the company.
