Limited beer speciality for Bregenz Festival - Mohrenbrauerei presents exclusive cellar beer creation
News General news
This year's festival beer from Mohrenbrauerei is an unfiltered, naturally cloudy beer from the lager cellar. Vorarlberg's beer market leader presented the exclusive beer speciality at the dress rehearsal of Giacomo Puccini's opera "Madame Butterfly". The limited cellar beer is bottled in 24,000 bottles and is available in the surrounding gastronomy of the Bregenz Festival.
Dark amber and creamy foam: Dornbirn's Mohren Brewery created a cellar beer for the Festival opera "Madame Butterfly". According to the beer sommeliers, the hand-brewed speciality impresses with "fruity notes and a hint of peach, a fine bitterness and a tangy finish." The limited edition Festival beer was presented on 17 July by Mohrenbrauerei managing director Thomas Pachole, artistic director Elisabeth Sobotka, president Hans-Peter Metzler and commercial director Michael Diem at the dress rehearsal of the second edition of "Madame Butterfly".
"With our third Festival beer, we toast more than 20 years of successful cooperation with the Bregenz Festival and offer the audience a unique enjoyment experience," Pachole is pleased to say. 24,000 bottles will be available during the festival season in the surrounding Bregenz restaurants and in the Mohrenbrauerei shop.
Unfiltered enjoyment at "Madame Butterfly
After last year's Tropical Pilsner, this year's festival guests can look forward to an unfiltered cellar beer. "The caramel notes combined with a fine bitterness are a true symphony. The beer closes the last act with a persistent fruity finish," says master brewer Tim Gröger, describing the thoroughly musical quality of the cold-hopped creation. The family-owned company sources the selected Tango hops from the Bentele hop farm in Tettnang. "We build on regional quality, innovative brewing skills, long-standing partnerships and a family-like atmosphere. That's what makes us Vorarlberg's number one beer," Pachole emphasises.
