On behalf of WALDEMAR BEHN, GfK conducted a survey among consumers aged 18 to 74 to find out their opinions and assessments of plant-based products. More than half of those surveyed buy plant-based alternatives for reasons including animal welfare, health aspects and sustainability. For 86 percent of buyers of such products, the taste of plant-based alternatives plays a central role and more than half of them choose these products if the taste is similar to that of conventional products. WALDEMAR BEHN is therefore taking the next step into the future with Dooley's Creamy Liqueur and responding specifically to these consumer trends.

Dooley's Creamy Liqueur right on trend
Dooley's Original Cream Liqueur, launched in 1999, is repositioning itself - creamy, innovative - while still emphasizing its tradition and high standards of quality and taste. The market potential lies in the growing cream liqueur category, with the rising demand for plant-based products and the increased consumption of lactose-free foods playing a particularly important role. The popular quality is the basis, while plant-based content and a more sustainable design additionally appeal to new customers and continue to bind existing fans to the brand. "This bold move is in line with current consumer trends and continues the Dooley's success story - more natural, more sustainable, plant-based," explains Philipp Fellmann, Managing Director of WALDEMAR BEHN, adding: "I am particularly pleased that our new plant-based Dooley's has even exceeded our expectations in terms of taste. We were also able to maintain the intense, creamy texture of the plant-based variant. My personal favorite is the toffee, which tastes even better than before."

Changing the Creamy Liqueur for everyone without compromise
For existing consumers who appreciate the authenticity and unmistakable taste of Dooley's, the range remains not only attractive, but also as good as ever, as they have come to expect from Dooley's. The plant-based liqueur, based on soy and coconut, among other ingredients, is just as creamy in texture as the original. The use of premium vodka provides room for the flavors of Toffee, White Choc Berry and The Yellow One to develop. Dooley's Creamy Liqueur appeals to connoisseurs looking for high-quality and innovative spirits and hosts who want to offer a lactose-free, plant-based and creamy liqueur that always fits the bill.

Carefree, uncompromising and sustainable
The new bottle design embodies change and carefree, uncompromising enjoyment, while a butterfly flying over a flowering meadow also symbolizes lightness, naturalness and sustainability. The butterfly is the new icon of the Dooley's brand and is embedded in the new world of Dooley's as well as on the bottle as high-quality embossing. It emphasizes the courage to change and the development of taste. The varieties are differentiated primarily by the color of the contents, which will be visible for the first time through the frosted glass. According to the GfK survey, the topic of sustainability plays an important role for consumers.

A wide range of possible uses for every occasion
Dooley's ensures unforgettable moments of enjoyment on various occasions. With its versatility, the Creamy Liqueur is not only impressive when served neat or on ice, but also as a perfect ingredient for a variety of cocktails, desserts and baked goods. The bottles are also perfect as a gift with an attractive design for anyone who appreciates an exquisite cream liqueur. Dooley's Creamy Liqueur will be available in stores and online from the end of October 2024 in the 0.7 liter bottle in the flavors Toffee, White Choc Berry and The Yellow One. An eye-catching display and a gift pack with two free tippers create additional incentives to buy.
