New bottle cleaning machine - Wolfra invests in the future and for the environment

At our company headquarters in Erding, a new cleaning machine for bottles has been put into operation. With this investment, we are committing ourselves to reusable bottles and to ecological responsibility.
The new system can clean up to 29,000 bottles of all sizes per hour. In just 14 minutes, a bottle goes through the entire process of soaking, label removal, and cleaning.
The new line replaces the bottle washer, which is already 22 years old, and is once again significantly more environmentally friendly and resource-saving in terms of both energy and water consumption. Wolfra Managing Director Florian Hundhammer said, "Wolfra has always focused on reusables, and we are continuing to do so. We have the impression that customers are paying more attention to regionality and sustainability again, especially recently."
A reusable bottle can be refilled up to 50 times.
To install the machine, which weighs almost 50 tons and measures 12 x 5 x 3 meters, two concrete walls of the production hall had to be opened specifically so that it could be lifted inside.
