Megadeal: Novolex acquires Pactiv Evergreen for 6.7 billion US dollars

Novolex, a major US foodservice and food packaging group, is acquiring the beverage carton manufacturer Pactiv.

Under the terms of the agreement, Novolex will acquire Pactiv Evergreen for USD 18.00 per share. The transaction is valued at $6.7 billion, including Pactiv Evergreen's net debt as of September 30, 2024, and the companies expect the transaction to close in mid-2025.

Novolex develops and manufactures packaging products for various industries. The company employs more than 10,000 people and operates 56 manufacturing facilities in North America and Europe, including two plastic film recycling centers.
