The unique whiskey offers a variation on the classic Redbreast and impresses with its unmistakable taste profile. The use of cream sherry casks and a proportion of Redbreast stored in Ruby Port casks, combined with the traditional cask profile, creates something new and familiar at the same time.

While Redbreast 12 Year Old combines the sweetness of vanilla, toasted wood and dried fruits and Redbreast 15 Year Old has a more herbal profile, the additional maturation of Redbreast 18 Year Old enhances this experience: With notes of blackcurrant and raspberry, pronounced tannins and chocolate, the whiskey not only brings out a delightful, syrupy sweetness that perfectly complements the typical Redbreast taste, but also an intriguing array of new flavors that take center stage in this exceptional whiskey.

The new Redbreast 18 Year Old brings out aromas of autumnal fruit with a hint of spice thanks to the addition of whiskey aged in Ruby Port casks. Further maturation in cream sherry casks from the famous Antonio Páez Lobato cooperage gives this exceptional whiskey another exciting flavor profile.

Master Blender David McCabe: “The new addition to the Redbreast core range bridges the gap between our older and younger products in a wonderful way. We wanted to create a new flavor profile while offering something that feels unmistakably Redbreast in style. Redbreast 18 Year Old not only honors our tradition, but also demonstrates our commitment to innovation in Irish whiskey making.”

Internationally, Redbreast 18 Year Old has already won prestigious awards, including four gold medals at the Beverage Testing Institute's Irish Whiskey Masters, the International Spirits Challenge and the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Bottled at 46%, the product has been available in Germany since November 2024 at an RRP of €179.99.
