Highest honour in the German brewing industry
Privatbrauerei Waldhaus has been awarded the Bundesehrenpreis by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) at a ceremony in Berlin. "This is like a knighthood for us brewers," says Dieter Schmid, Managing Director of Privatbrauerei Waldhaus. Because only 12 of the 1492 German breweries were ennobled. "A wonderful success for Waldhaus and of course also for our customers. Further proof that the beer specialities from Waldhaus belong to the top class in Germany," Schmid is pleased about the Bundesehrenpreis, which was awarded to the private brewery for the fifth time this year.
"The winners of the Bundesehrenpreis have an exemplary understanding of how to process natural raw materials into products of the highest quality using traditional brewing methods and state-of-the-art brewing technology. They stand for tradition, innovation and diversity of taste," said DLG President Hubertus Paetow, praising the private brewery's consistent, sustainable pursuit of quality. Federal Minister and beer ambassador Cem Özdemir, together with the DLG President, presented the rare certificate and medal to the brewers from Waldhaus.
"This is the highest honour a company in the brewing industry can receive for its quality performance. And that makes us unspeakably proud," emphasises Bernhard Vötter. "Guaranteeing first-class quality and exclusive taste in all our beer specialities has always been and will continue to be our claim. Because enjoyment and quality simply belong together at Waldhaus."
