In memory of a special era - Remedy Rum celebrates birth with limited edition "Golden 20s Edition"

The story of Remedy Rum takes us back in time. It begins in the 1920s in the USA - in an era characterized by prosperity, wild and excessive parties, but also by the prohibition of alcohol. To celebrate this hour of birth in a worthy way some 100 years later, Remedy Rum surprises with a limited "Golden 20s Edition". "We're putting Remedy Spiced Rum in a very special guise - classy, rebellious and eye-catching is the motto here," explains Brand Manager Carina Schulz of Sierra Madre GmbH.

A look into the past
From 1920 to 1933, there was a nationwide ban on the production, transport and sale of alcohol in the USA. But resisting the allure of the forbidden was anything but easy, even back then. So people used every opportunity to obtain alcoholic beverages. Among other things, illegally smuggled alcohol was sold under medical pretexts in pharmacies and drugstores, creating a veritable black market for spirits. From there, Remedy Rum also found its way into clandestine bars and pubs - invented by pharmacist Frank M. Farrington from New York, it quickly enjoyed great popularity, but fell into oblivion with the end of Prohibition. Around 100 years later, Remedy Rum is now once again celebrating the time when the spirit already captivated guests at exclusive parties.

Remedy takes you back in time
Because even today - in 2022 - the Spiced Rum impresses with a blend of rums from the countries Barbados, Trinidad &Tobago and the Dominican Republic. The Caribbean rum is refined with natural spices and ingredients. With its dark apothecary bottle and retro label, the Remedy Golden 20s Edition takes you back to the era in which its contents were once produced. Today, however, it lives up to modern expectations and tempts both bartenders and collectors. True to the brand motto #RememberTomorrow, it reminisces while celebrating the present.

Sales launch in November
The edition is limited to 12,000 bottles in Germany and will be distributed by Sierra Madre GmbH, based in Hagen. It has been available since November at the normal bottle price.
