Riedenburger Brauhaus continues to grow - New trend variety Natur-Radler Alkoholfrei expands product range

While beer sales are falling across Germany, Riedenburger Brauhaus achieved a 3.5 per cent increase in turnover in the 2023 financial year with stable sales. The Bavarian organic brewery's non-alcoholic beers in particular are continuing to grow with an increase of nine per cent. With the introduction of the mixed beer drink Riedenburger Natur-Radler Alkoholfrei, the company is expanding its alcohol-free range to eight varieties.
"The consumption behaviour of German beer drinkers has changed significantly in recent years. In the past, alcohol-free beer was mostly an emergency solution for car drivers, but today it is a luxury food that is associated with a conscious eating style. We are responding to this trend by continuously expanding our non-alcoholic range," argues Managing Director Maximilian Krieger. "For us, beer is not a simple consumer good, but a luxury food with countless facets. That's exactly what we want to show with our wide range of varieties." Riedenburger Alkoholfrei (0.33 litre), which was successfully launched last year, is now available nationwide in organic retailers.
At BIOFACH 2024, the world's leading trade fair for organic food, Riedenburger Brauhaus presented its next new product: Riedenburger Natur-Radler Alkoholfrei (0.5 litre). "In addition to non-alcoholic beers, mixed beer drinks are also becoming increasingly popular. That's why we decided to offer our Natur-Radler as a non-alcoholic version," says Maximilian Krieger, explaining the product launch. Like all Riedenburger organic beer specialities, Natur-Radler Alkoholfrei is unfiltered and free from artificial additives, sweeteners and flavourings.
