Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellereien is delighted to welcome Silvia Wiesner as the new Chairwoman of the Management Board. She will take over the management of the company in the second quarter of 2025. Silvia Wiesner succeeds long-standing CEO Christof Queisser, who has decided to take on new responsibilities outside the industry. Continuity and a smooth succession are guaranteed. Queisser will actively support the transition over the coming months.
Silvia Wiesner can look back on a long career in the consumer goods sector and has the ideal profile to continue Rotkäppchen-Mumm's success story. She has proven her strategic and operational expertise in various management positions at Unilever, initially as head of the food business in the DACH region and subsequently with overall responsibility for the Belgian and Luxembourg markets. “I am very much looking forward to contributing my experience and ideas to a broad-based and innovative company and working with a strong team,” says Wiesner.
Advisory Board Chairwoman Petra Roller emphasizes: “We as the Advisory Board are delighted to have won Silvia Wiesner for our company. With her extensive experience as a managing marketing and sales specialist, her high level of motivation and her strong team spirit, she will shape the next chapter of Rotkäppchen-Mumm with groundbreaking impulses together with Frank Albers (CFO) and Markus Jauch (COO).”
The current CEO, Christof Queisser, will leave the company next year after more than a decade of successful leadership. “We very much regret his decision, but respect his desire for a career change,” says Petra Roller. “Christof Queisser has done an excellent job of combining stability with a willingness to innovate in his leadership and thus strengthening the company in the long term. Our collaboration was characterized by great trust and loyalty.” Under Queisser's leadership, Rotkäppchen-Mumm developed into a company with a turnover of over 1 billion euros, expanded through strategic acquisitions and redefined the German sparkling wine, wine and spirits market through innovative brand management.
“It has been a great honor,” says Queisser, ”to lead the company over the past 12 years and to develop it with a dedicated team in a future-oriented manner. At Rotkäppchen-Mumm, it is never just our sparkling wines, wines and spirits that set us apart - it is always the people who stand behind the success of our brands with commitment and passion. I am proud of what we have achieved together.”
Shareholder Gunter Heise also acknowledges the achievements of the outgoing CEO: “Christof Queisser has managed Rotkäppchen-Mumm very skillfully for over a decade, even in challenging times, and successfully led it to new heights. His intuition and appreciation of what makes us a family business have contributed significantly to Rotkäppchen-Mumm's strength as the German market leader. We would like to thank him warmly for his solidarity and empathetic leadership.”
