Schlössle brewery to close at the end of the year

It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that we will be closing our brewery at the end of the year.
The pub is expressly not affected by this.
The decision is based on economic reasons:
- Major investments are necessary to maintain the brewery
- With the current rising costs and the general decline in beer consumption, continued operation is not economically viable
- Despite the support of our loyal fans, it has not been possible to run our brewery on a break-even basis in recent years. The pub makes a good profit and has been subsidising the brewery for a long time.
We would like to emphasise that the pub and beer garden will remain a place of beer culture in the future. We will continue to serve a wide selection of high-quality beers, just not brewed in-house.
We would like to thank our master brewer Volker Tillmanns, who has been working for us since 1995 and has remained loyal to us for 29 years, producing excellent beers.
Bottle sales will gradually be phased out over the next few weeks. The pub will probably remain open until the beginning of 2025.
We look forward to continuing to welcome you and all our guests to the Schlössle - our traditional pub. Come by and enjoy beer culture in the beer garden or in our guest rooms.
