Nordik-Porter - Beer of the Year at the Finest Beer Selection

No other beer scored more points: Störtebeker Nordik-Porter is the big winner of this year's Finest Beer Selection and received the "Beer of the Year National" award with 97 out of a possible 100 points. This makes the brewing specialty a flagship of the German beer scene. "We are incredibly proud that Nordik Porter has once again won this award," says brewer Nils Peterson. "With its fine bitter-chocolatey taste and intense espresso notes, it not only impresses beer connoisseurs throughout Germany, but also the expert jury of the competition," Peterson continues. The brewers from Stralsund can also look forward to three further awards in the Finest Beer Selection: both the Schwarz-Bier and the limited-edition rye wheat Eisbock and the New England IPA, winner of the 2023 Hobby Brewers' Championship, were included in the circle of excellent beers. This shows that Störtebeker's brewing specialties can also hold their own on the international stage and are appreciated by beer connoisseurs and experts. In this year's Finest Beer Selection competition, 825 beers from all over the world underwent sensory testing by the expert jury. Almost 100 were awarded the seal of quality.
