Koblenzer Brauerei and Bitburger Braugruppe extend their production contract / New crates in summer
The Koblenzer Brauerei and the Bitburger Braugruppe have extended their production contract for the long term. This means that the distribution and marketing of the traditional Königsbacher and Nette beers will continue to be guaranteed in retail and catering outlets in and around Koblenz. The managing directors of the Koblenzer Brauerei, Thomas Beer and Jörn Metzler, are looking forward to the continued cooperation: "Particularly in these challenging times, fair solutions based on partnership are an important guarantee that will enable us to continue producing the Königsbacher and Nette products for us economically and at a high level of quality."
Michael Stumpf, Sales Manager Southwest of the Bitburger Braugruppe, also sees the contract extension as a strong and important signal: "We can continue to offer the two brands Königsbacher and Nette in their usual high premium quality. And we are pleased to be able to continue to pursue our long-term regional strategy and thus maintain two genuine traditional brands."
Stumpf also announced additional quality assurance for both brands. In summer 2021, the introduction of new branded crates will begin for both brands, followed by further investments in keg containers in 2022.
The Bitburger Braugruppe took over the brand and distribution rights for the traditional Königsbacher and Nette beer brands from Karlsberg Brauerei (Homburg). In 2011, Koblenzer Brauerei purchased the brewery site at Königsbach from Karlsberg Brauerei and since then has ensured the production of the products via a contract brewing agreement with the Bitburger Braugruppe.
Both the Koblenzer Brauerei and the Bitburger Braugruppe continue to see great potential in this agreement, as the contract, which has now been extended in the long term, was concluded not least on the basis of the partnership-based cooperation of recent years.
