Successful year 2024: Störtebeker with 2.8% growth

Störtebeker Braumanufaktur can look back on a successful year: with an increase in turnover and sales of almost 3 percent and a strong focus on non-alcoholic specialty beers, the brewery has maintained its position as a pioneer in the field of innovative beers in 2024.

The German beer market has been under enormous pressure for years - and the country's breweries also recorded an average decline of 1% in 2024. Only a few beacons are holding their own - including Störtebeker Braumanufaktur from Stralsund: with an increase of 2.8% in turnover and sales, Störtebeker Braumanufaktur can draw a very positive balance for the past year. “The combination of characterful brewing specialties and a rapidly growing range of non-alcoholic beers meets the taste of the times and secures us a leading position in the market,” says press spokeswoman Elisa Raus. Every 5th Störtebeker brewed specialty sold is now alcohol-free - significantly more than the German average. “Health and conscious nutrition have become key purchasing criteria,” says Raus. “Both in cities and in rural regions, Atlantik-Ale Alkoholfrei, Frei-Bier and Bernstein-Weizen Alkoholfrei are among the most popular varieties.”

So it makes sense that the alcohol-free range is now being expanded further: Two new brewing specialties are being introduced just in time for “Dry January” - the caramel-malty Hanse Porter and the refreshingly tart 0.0% Pilsener beer. Störtebeker is offering a new tasting box for anyone who would like to try out the variety of non-alcoholic beers. Four different varieties invite you to discover the world of non-alcoholic brewing specialties. “Our aim is to establish non-alcoholic beers as an equivalent alternative that is not associated with renunciation, but with enjoyment,” explains Elisa Raus.
Beer connoisseurs can also look forward to new additions to the Störtebeker range of brewing specialties with alcohol: two new creations will be launched in the spring.

New non-alcoholic brewing specialties
With the new 0.0% pilsner beer, Störtebeker is expanding its range with the first brewing specialty completely without alcohol: a typical pilsner with aromas of herbs, a refreshing tartness and significantly fewer calories than a pilsner with alcohol.
Hanse-Porter alcohol-free is a perfect alternative for enjoying dark beers. It impresses with a sweet aroma of caramel and cocoa as well as light roasted notes. This makes it the perfect accompaniment to sweet dishes.
