The premium mezcals from ZIGNUM are distilled in the "Casa Armando Guillermo Prieto", one of the largest and most modern mezcal production facilities in Mexico, and offer a new interpretation of the traditional Mexican spirit, which for ZIGNUM is obtained exclusively from the juice of the Espadín agave.

After harvesting, the agave hearts are cooked in underground ovens, fermented and then distilled. Maturation in American and French oak barrels gives the ZIGNUM mezcals a special complexity and an unmistakable character.
The Espadín agave grows in the rich soils of Oaxaca, a state on the southern Pacific coast of Mexico, and is ideal for the production of premium mezcals due to its high sugar content.
