Julien Hemard, Managing Director Pernod Ricard Germany: "We are delighted to launch the first jointly developed product from Pernod Ricard and Sovereign Brands. The Deacon is a unique whisky - with a creative touch that fits perfectly into our exclusive portfolio."

The Deacon is a masterful blend of smoky Speyside and peaty Islay malt whisky. The single malts from Islay give the blended Scotch whisky a distinctly peaty aroma, while the single malts from the mainland round off the exceptional taste with their bonfire-like smoky character. A blend that defies traditional Scotch conventions and impresses with its complex taste profile. Smooth and rich, this whisky is ideal for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.

Tasting Notes

The Deacon means being the best, no matter what you do.
In the Scottish language, a "deacon" is a skilled and capable master craftsman. The distillers behind this blended Scotch whisky reflect this masterfully. Being The Deacon means being the best, no matter what you do. So the whisky is a tribute to all master craftsmen, whatever their profession. Traditional copper stills are used in the production process, which also inspired the bottle design. The exclusive pattern, the individual copper sheen and the iconic signet make this whisky unique.
