Topping-out ceremony at SLYRS: Milestone for the new production hall of Bavarian Whisky Distillery

On January 29, the SLYRS Bavarian Whisky Distillery celebrated a significant milestone: the topping-out ceremony for the new production hall. With this construction project, SLYRS consistently implements its vision of sustainability, innovation and regional identity.

Hans Kemenater, Managing Director and Master Distiller of SLYRS, was proud and grateful: "This new building is a big step into the future of our distillery. We are not only creating additional capacity for our production, but are also setting new standards in terms of sustainability and state-of-the-art technology - and all of this in harmony with our Bavarian homeland."
The new production hall, which is scheduled to open in early summer 2025, will feature state-of-the-art Whisky-production facilities as well as environmentally friendly technologies. Particular attention is paid to the use of regional resources and the reduction of the ecological footprint - in keeping with the philosophy of the distillery.
With the new building, SLYRS not only on growth, but also remains true to its role as a pioneer of German Whiskyscene. “We want Whisky at the highest level – and at the same time create an experience that reflects our values: quality, tradition and innovation,” says Kemenater.
The SLYRS Bavarian Whisky Distillery will remain open year-round during construction and looks forward to Whisky-lovers and visitors to Schliersee.
