A truck with more than 20,000 bottles of vodka on board crashed near Wiesbaden in February 2010.

According to the police, the articulated lorry was carrying exactly 20,790 bottles of vodka. However, in a sharp right-hand bend at the Erbenheim highway exit, the bottles started to slide. Around half of the load fell onto the road. As a result of the accident, the exit from highway 66 had to be closed for hours.
By the way, the truck driver was not believed to have been under the influence of alcohol.
