USA, CT: Manchester’s Labyrinth Brewing Company closing its doors after six years in business
News General news
A brew pub in Manchester is closing its doors later this month after six years in business, Patch.com reported on July 9.
The owners of Labyrinth Brewing Company made the announcement on social media late Tuesday morning.
The final day is scheduled for July 21. The brew pub is located at 148 Forest St., tucked into the Cheney Historic District in an old factory building.
"We had a hell of a run over the last six years, but we've reached the end of this journey ... There are many factors but no single reason that lead up to this choice and the short version is — the numbers don’t work," the owners said. "This was not a decision we made lightly but it is one we have made nevertheless."
They continued, "Special thanks to our amazing staff who have worked tirelessly to create such a great vibe here. They are the reason we made it this far and it has been an honor working with them. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you wonderful humans who stepped foot into our taproom, reached for our beer at your local liquor store, or ordered a pint of Labyrinth at your favorite bar. We are humbled to have had the chance to share our dream and some beers with you all. While this is the end for Labyrinth it’s also the beginning of whatever comes next."
Back in Aug. of 2018, the owners took a 130-plus-year-old building and renovated it to house the Labyrinth production facility, a tap room and gallery that featured works by local artists.
