"It is with heavy hearts we announce to you Man Overboard Brewing Company will be closing our doors after 3 great years of brewing, fun, and friendships," the brewery wrote on social media. "Our final day will be December 22nd. But before we go, we want to celebrate with YOU—our loyal family and friends who made this journey unforgettable."

Man Overboard Brewing Co. is owned by the Merriman family, whose father-and-son duo Ron and Justin Merriman started the brewery toward the end of 2021. Ron Merriman is a veteran who served 30 years in the Navy, according to a 2022 report from KSAT. Man Overboard produced a number of craft beers along with hard and frozen seltzers and some food items during its three years in business.

"From now until December 22nd we will be running specials on our Merchandise, Beer and Seltzer. Come out and celebrate these last days available, share some of your favorite memories over a few last drinks. We close without any regrets and look forward to our next adventures in life being parents and grandparents," the business said in its farewell post.
