Leadership change at the top of Brauerei C. & A. Veltins: As of January 1, 2025, Dr. Volker Kuhl has taken over as the sole head of the Sauerland family brewery in Meschede-Grevenstein, succeeding the previous authorized representative, Michael Huber. Dr. Volker Kuhl joined Brauerei C. & A. Veltins in 1995 and was appointed to the management board the following year. Since then, he has been in charge of the marketing and sales division. "We work in the most exciting traditional industry in the German economy, which provides enough motivation to carry market success into the future," said Dr. Volker Kuhl.
In the past 29 years of collaboration between Michael Huber and Dr. Volker Kuhl, output increased by 44 percent, and revenue climbed from 186 to 441 million euros, a 137 percent increase by 2023. The Veltins workforce grew by 76 percent to 721 employees over the last 29 years. At the request of the sole shareholder Susanne Veltins, the long-standing authorized representative Michael Huber joined the advisory board in 1995 and shortly thereafter entered the company's management. Michael Huber always adhered to the philosophy of medium-sized businesses, pushing for investments and innovations.
