A decision of our own free will
To prevent rumors: we are not insolvent, we are leaving without leaving any debts! However, due to the worsening market situation and an urgent need to invest millions in technology and buildings, we don't see any prospect of taking the whole thing seriously and remaining true to our convictions.

The most important thing now is our employees, whom we are trying to place in friendly companies. But of course we also need you, our loyal community, whom we want to take with us on the last few meters and will certainly not let you down.

Why?

• We need to invest 12 million euros to make our brewery technology and buildings competitive and fit for the future.
• Sales figures have been falling across the industry for many years, there have been enormous cost increases in the areas of energy, raw materials and personnel, and there is ruinous price pressure due to competition from the large breweries on the market.
• We do not see any long-term and serious possibility of raising a sum of this magnitude under the given framework conditions and paying it back in the long term.

Anyone who knows us knows that we have really tried and given everything - both behind and away from our brewing kettle, on all channels, in all weathers, with a motto that has motivated and welded us all together. But the truth is that it just wasn't enough.
